The flu season starts when the temperatures drop and days are shorter. The flu season is often an annual epidemic that can hit the greater Sacramento especially hard. The flu season can begin as early as October, peak between December and February, and last until May. Flu shots are recommended for those six months and older, and especially for those considered high risk (children and the elderly). Flu symptoms are often similar to cold and flu can be life threatening.
Women face a special set of health needs. As primary care physicians, we are trained in many areas of women’s health and can provide many of the same services as your gynecologist:
